Application of the maturity method to reinforced concrete roof slabs

ABSTRACT The maturity method is a procedure that associates the evolution of temperature concrete cast to structure and its hardened state properties like compressive strength, usually at early ages. Its use justified when safety agility are required for activities prestressing, shoring removal, demolding low curing analysis. Temperate regions known having lower temperatures during winter, which can delay strength gains. aim this study was apply reinforced located in Southern Brazil industrial construction. It noted concrete, despite being expected reach 30 MPa 28 days, managed 70% 8.5 days slab 1. Slab 2, whose function support garners 4, 5 6, presented data 4.4 it possible measure such property using method.
